Northern Durban Pond Safari:

Date: Sat 9 Feb 2013.

Time: Meet at 12.45pm at Sharks Board premises, 1A Herrwood Drive,Umhlanga Rocks. (Be there 10 min early: convoy will leave at 12.45pm sharp and proceed to first pond address)

There will be a BRING & BRAAI at the Drummond-Hays residence: bring own meat, refreshments, cutlery & crockery and if you like a salad. There will also be several LUCKY DRAW PRIZES to be drawn during the course of the day's proceedings. One of the raffles will be a weekend away in a 5 bed self-catering unit at Mseni Lodge, Sodwana Bay.

Gauteng Chapter Meeting February 2013

The February meeting of the Gauteng Chapter will take place at Bernhard's Fish Farm in Maanhaarand.

Program:

How to select kohaku and koi followed by a talk on how to judge Kohaku.
Then a Kohaku judging competition open to everyone. This should be great fun and there are prizes to be won.
Talk on breeding koi and his koi farm by Bernard.

Koi will be offered for sale.

Members can bring their own refreshments and meat as Bernard will provide fires, pap, sauce, buns, ice and some soft drinks. Plus there will be paper plates and plastic cutlery.

Directions: On the R24. Go straight through Magaliesburg. 17km past Magaliesburg on the road to Rustenberg. On the right hand side the 9 mud dams and 50 holding dams are next to the main road. A koi banner will be displayed at the farm entrance.
